FAU Pine Jog recently celebrated the achievements of 110 local schools at the ninth annual Green Schools Awards Luncheon. These schools made the grade in “going green” as participants in FAU Pine Jog’s Green Schools Recognition Program (GSRP).  This year’s record number of participating schools represent over 30 percent of all schools in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

FAU Pine Jog wishes to congratulate these schools and to sincerely thank our many award sponsors.  Twenty-nine cash prizes totaling more than $13,000 were awarded to schools that made exceptional efforts to develop a Green School culture and curriculum.  First place went to Oxbridge Academy for $2,000; Whispering Pines Elementary took second place for $1,000; and J.D. Parker School of Science, Math & Technology won third place for $750.
