GREEN SCHOOLS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

Does your school want to "go green" for the first time this year?  Need help getting started?  Your school may be eligible for the Green Schools Ambassador Program!

The Green Schools Ambassador Program provides in-person assistance to new participants in FAU Pine Jog's established Green Schools Recognition Program.

New schools are paired  with an “Ambassador,” an experienced green mentor who meets with the school’s Green Team throughout the year to help them plan their green activities and apply for Green Schools recognition.  Schools that earn recognition receive banners and certificates and are eligible for cash awards.

Interested? Here's how to get started:

  • Submit a GSAP Commitment Form
  • Receive confirmation of acceptance and Ambassador availability*
  • Attend a FREE Introductory Green Schools Workshop
  • Form a school Green Team
  • Meet with Ambassador (4 meetings required, Sept-March)
  • Assemble and submit a Green Schools application (due early March)
  • Receive confirmation of Green Schools status (mid-April)
  • Celebrate becoming a Green School! (mid-May)

*NOTE: Ambassadors are only available to a limited number of schools each year.  Any Palm Beach or Martin County school is eligible to apply for an Ambassador, as long as the school has not participated in the Green Schools Recognition Program in the last two years. Ambassadors are assigned to eligible schools on a first-come-first-served basis.
