These special video “reveals” honor the exceptional accomplishments of this year’s participants in our Green Schools Recognition Program (GSRP). 

Please join us in congratulating these recipients—and their inspiring students, teachers, school leaders and community partners—for all they are doing to lead the way to a more sustainable future.

Additional thanks to our program sponsors, the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County and Florida Power and Light, and to our partners at the School District of Palm Beach County and the Martin County School District for all they do to foster green learning and operations throughout our two counties. 

Special thanks as well to the more than 100 volunteer judges that also make this program possible!

Established in 2008, the GSRP recognizes Palm Beach and Martin County schools that strive to build a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability in their classrooms, on their campuses, and throughout their communities. 

Their green efforts include outdoor learning, campus gardens, recycling, energy and water conservation, interdisciplinary environmental curriculum, local habitat studies, green community service projects, healthy eating and fitness programs, and a school-wide commitment to sustainability.

Schools apply each year to earn recognition as Green Schools of Promise, Quality, and Excellence—and to become eligible for special awards sponsored by FAU Pine Jog and organizations throughout our community.
